It's going to be hilarious when some popular bars don't enforce it and people come to them and get mad when they aren't smoke free

And then they will lose their liquor license for a period and enforce the ordinance.

No, they really don't. There are innumerable things business owners are not allowed to do by law. I would list a few but I know that you know it's true.

Of course I know it's true, but the point is it shouldn't be. Just because there are already numerous laws they have to abide by, doesn't mean it's OK to impose MORE. That's like saying, oh they already have a law against drinking under the age of 21, so no big deal to impose more laws against people under the age of 21.

And hooray for the stereotyping and name-calling of smokers and presenting it as legitimate discourse.

I'm sorry if I fail to see the wicked hand of government tyranny because people have to smoke on the sidewalk

What's funny is the majority of people here arguing against the ban are non smokers, including myself. We just value personal decisions.

And LE, who is on his side of this argument, got the stereotyping started in this thread.

Hypocrites all over the place in here.

So you are going to risk your revenue tickets, liquor license and video poker license to let people smoke in your bar?

The answer is no. There will be grumbling, there may be defiance initially, but after a couple of licenses get pulled and the word gets around everyone will comply.
