People who support this ban, don't you see this is not about smoking. This is just another form of control and taxation. Since New Orleans lost the toll tax they are trying hard to make up for that loss in revenue.

but being restricted to one area of that private property isn't exactly "smoking freely" on said private property
you are free to smoke as much as you want in a designated area

FWIW, I don't really support or hate the ban

I'm basically indifferent at best, and playing devil's advocate at worst

This is a complete hypothetical. Let's say one day the government decides you aren't allowed to use your microwave inside your house anymore, because the radiation is harmful to people's health. But you can take the microwave outside and use it, that's still ok.

You own the house and there is nothing illegal about using a microwave, you just can't do it inside your house.

Would you support that?

just bring their vape shite
it sounds like you're just a fricking prick...that vape shite doesn't leave a smell on you or harm you

It's douchey, but are we going to start policing Abercrombie and fitch too?

A city like New York can pass this and it's no biggie...a city that sells debauchery and drinking can't

throw in the crime and NOLA is now the ultimate toilet

you don't have to get hypothetical

this government already bans silly things like using marijuana or gay people getting married. no need for hypotheticals

There is no ban on smoking on private property. If you think there is, you're either intellectually dishonest or you just don't get it.

I'm watching you not get it.

Has Cantrell's husband's weed arrest been discussed?
