Not the argument.

what is the argument, then? you haven't really made one or defined a defense for the law

a. no way b/c of taxes

b. i think weed should be legal, so anybody who believes in that, would be a complete hypocrite for supporting a ban on tobacco

An adult has the right to smoke. An adult does not have the right to serve food or drink for money.

The former requires nothing more than being old enough. The latter requires navigating through red tape.

Want to allow people to smoke on your property? Go ahead. Can't serve food or beverage if you do so.

well yeah

but being restricted to one area of that private property isn't exactly "smoking freely" on said private property

that's irrelevant to the argument for 2 reasons

1. not all bars have patios, and the comment was inside of bars

2. you could legally smoke on patios before and this law changes nothing, so patios have nothing to do with this discussion

this is about the rights of owners of private property (bars) to have the freedom to allow adults to smoke tobacco inside of that property
