Terminal D is the worst laid-out terminal of any second-tier airport on the planet.

I've never really had an issue with it?

What?

It is a small terminal. If you think that it is bad you haven't traveled much.

Is that addition the new concourse on the north side of the runways? Work on that is starting in January?

On a somewhat related note, what is the story with Concourse A? I can't even remember the last time it was used.

I avoid plane travel as much as possible.

It is goofy that you always, always walk by empty gates.

It has been that way since the 90's.

The only time I eat at an airport is when I have a ridiculous layover. Who wants to eat fast food and feel shitty all day while they're traveling?

Valid points have been made in this thread already.

I'll just add that airport food in general has some challenges normal restaurants don't have. With the security procedures, etc. the food is prepared offsite and isn't fresh to begin with, so you are working uphill as it is.

I got a layover coming up at O'Hare a few weeks, can't wait to try out one of the supposed best airport places in the country Tortas Frontera.

I'm pissed they got rid of the Popeye's that was right by the security to terminal B. That was my go to
Me too, and I eat Popeye's a total of about three times a year.

There's a wonderful Popeye's in the ATL. Seriously.

Screw eating at MSY. I like eating at the Y though.

That Popeye's was very clutch.

Now you get the Subway that somehow manages to serve you cold chicken after your sub has been through the toaster.

I didn't realize this place was a famed best. I usually eat at Wicker Park.

Do you really think that restaurants don't cook at the airport?

They need a center security checkpoint and the ability to move between concourses.

I had a flight change from one terminal to another due to weather then back again. It was a complete mess due to having to go through security a second time for the new terminal then back through the security again. 3 times through security for one flight is ridiculous.

The Praline Connection in B is quite good. They will fry fish to order and have good okra/crowder peas and greens.
