Sue them... yes its their property, but that doesn't entitle them to adversely affect your right to enjoy your property, similar to how you can't blare music on your property.

You will have some good news soon, due to weather:

As Summer fades to Autumn, to Winter, the winds will tend to shift a bit, from slow humid South winds (from the Gulf) to brisk, less humid North winds.

This will clear things out for you better. Ever compared the hazy view of downtown Houston (from Clear Lake) in the summer to the clear view in the winter? This is part of the reason.

Secondly, humid air has an effect on the odors "settling" on your clothes and your outdoor furniture. It is better in the cooler times.

Ask them to. Tell them you have no intention of getting in their business, and you fully respect their private property rights and their right to tell you to piss off, but you would appreciate the hell out of it if they could smoke in a different part of the yard.

Most people are pretty nice and accommodating if you are as well.

Mind your own business. It's their property. If you don't want smells, sounds, sights coming from neighbors, move to the country.

Are you allowed to burn? if so, just burn a bunch of leaves 24/7 here in the fall. If you dig a hole and just pile up the leaves they will smolder for a week or more if you have enough leaves.

Rent a porta potty and put it next to their fence. Use frequently.

I shared a carport with my last neighbors and they would barbecue underneath the carport all the time. My frickin house would smell like a BBQ pit and the smoke would be so thick inside you could see it. I was so glad when we moved out of that hell hole.

I was going to suggest tossing a few copperheads over the fence but this is a better suggestion.

nah, a trailer park would welcome the smoking. This a-hole probably lives in some shitty garden home community cookie cutter style hood where everyone's patio backs up right to the neighbors place.

Should be fun when someone starts grilling.
