I wish they would interview me. I could give them about 10 minutes of "must see tv". Lol.

It's great how this guy can openly admit to being here illegally and still get his own TV show... mocking U.S. citizens.

How is it that MTV or whomever is able to legal employ a person who they know is here illegally?

Shouldn't the government be doing something about businesses who are knowingly hiring illegals?

Know what's funny?

No one in the demo they are targeting watches MTV (or tv for that matter) anymore.

Both of my kids never use their tv anymore. They watch everything on youtube.

The demo that will watch this is 35 year old moms who will laugh and laugh and laugh at this.

MTV will air a show later this month entitled White People which shows young white Americans crying on camera over their “white privilege” and publicly shaming them for “what they’ve done in America”. The documentary is hosted by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas, an illegal immigrant and amnesty activist who has worked for the Washington Post and the Huffington Post.
quote:

The trailer for the show, which has been widely criticized by YouTube respondents, features white people expressing angst about how they are desperate not to appear “racist” or “offend people.”

According to Kimberly Ricci, the documentary forces the participants “to internalize what they’ve done in America” – in other words, this a huge exercise in white guilt tripping for public consumption.

An MTV write up of the show also explains how Vargas talks to young Native Americans who feel that European settlers did not ‘save the country’.

“They are the ones who invaded. They are the ones who took,” says Vargas.

Interesting info. He was arrested and released in '14:

quote:

On July 15, 2014, Vargas was arrested by immigration authorities while trying to leave the border town of McAllen, Texas.[6][7] Vargas was there for a vigil organized by United We Dream, outside a shelter for recently released Central American migrants. He had a camera crew from Define American with him to interview and film undocumented immigrant minor children from Central America. Vargas later wrote that he did not realize until he was there, that he would have to cross through a U.S. Customs and Border Protection checkpoint in order to leave the Rio Grande Valley. He went through airport security with his Philippine passport and a pocket-size copy of the United States Constitution. Initially, he was cleared by the Transportation Security Administration, but a border agent took his passport, reviewed his documents, asked him some questions, placed him in handcuffs, and escorted him to the McAllen Border Patrol station for further questioning. He was released later that day.

I can honestly say I haven't watched MTV in like 5 years, but this is the type of show that will definitely break my 5 year run. Thank you to the geniuses at MTV for blessing us with this gem. I can't WAIT!!!!

What kind of Pulitzer Prize winning, film-maker jackass can't even get a green card? Dude wants to be illegal for the social cache.

the sad thing is, a Pulitzer Prize would basically automatically get him a visa for however long he wants, but he probably chose to remain illegal like some choose to "keep it real"

Took two clicks on the website to find:

quote:

Race isn’t biological – it’s a social construct that exists based on everyone in a community accepting it, and is usually created by the dominant group.

Which is completely false but everyone will believe it.

It's really not "white privilege". It's "white Anglo-American privilege".

White Hispanics, white Eastern Europeans, and others don't really fit the false narrative these groups try to push.

And, Vargas is a fool.
