I'm struggling with this. There is a nonstop feed of taxis and Ubers.
Perhaps there needs to be a dedicated line/lane for taxis, if there isn't already.
But I've flown into several airports (Notably, Orlando) where there is a section for Uber pickups but it's in the general flow with everyone else.
Maybe they are going to need to relocate the Uber/Lyft spots. Something's not right.

I just saw on Fox 8 and WWL4 that flights are being held up bc they can’t load the baggage fast enough, flights are leaving without baggage, baggage is being loaded on the wrong flights.
Man, I was supposed to fly to Canada today with guns and hunting gear. I would have lost it if my shite got rerouted to London or some shite.

I'm sure they will get all that worked out but I'm glad my trip next Friday I'm just bringing a carry on.

FB (not posting link) has an Uber New Orleans drivers group that I just read through.
Apparently... the staging lot is a hot mess. There are no dedicated places for different "types" to park, uber and lyft drivers aren't finding parking spots so they are just parking in the driving lanes, drivers are getting out of their cars and chatting and thus not immediately getting the signal to depart the lot, etc.

The Lines for the Taxi/Uber/&Lyft were so congested tonight that pedestrians were standing in the street causing cars who are picking up passengers to come to a total standstill. They need another 10 NOPD cops directing traffic too.

There was absolutely NO room for them to move that’s how congested it was tonight. The lines stretched from beginning to end of the outside walkways. No one could get through from the doors to cross each street section because that was totally congested too.
Honestly I’m not sure how they can fix this in the short term other than moving the Taxis/Uber/Lyft another 1000 ft someplace else that isn’t developed yet. This will be a major ongoing issue for the airport.

One of the things they bragged about with this new terminal was dedicated more efficient staging area for uber/lift.
