Two in family, both high end trucks.
Watch out for dealer upgrades on tires and lift. One with no upgrades gets 23 mpg on highway.
The other with upgrades gets 16.5 .

I don't like the 4 cylinder turbo but we'll see.

Regarding Tacomas, son traded in a 2018 Tacoma for about what he paid for it.

I just got the new 4Runner--basically the same thing. It's great but was $20k more than I paid for my 2015.

What a time to be alive.

Aren’t they all 4 cylinder now?

Yes, I didn’t want to pull the trigger and did. I regret it because no truck should be any less than a six. Overall it’s a nice truck I just don’t like the 4.

If considering a mid-sized truck, you should also consider the new redesign Ford Ranger.

I persoanlly think the GMC Canyon looks the best in this segment, but believe Ford wins on reliability for its engine, even over the new Tacoma.

Always been a fan of the yotas since the late 80s. Seems like everyone had one or knew someone that did. Things could go through some mud.
But they just screwed the pooch cause now it looks like a tundra.

I got a 25 TRD back in April. While I was disappointed that they did not come with a V6 anymore, I have been more than satisfied with it.

So your issue with the Ridgeline is what? That it doesn't have the aggressive looks of another truck? Guilty as charged. And I owned one...

The Ridgeline rides better than any other truck.
The Ridgeline has better gas mileage than any other truck.
The Ridgeline is arguably just as, if not more reliable, than any other truck.

It's not the right truck for heavy hauling. Unless Honda has upped the towing capacity, it's 3500 lbs. A con if you need more, obviously.

Full disclosure: I traded mine in for a 24 Frontier. Wanted something a little more "sporty". We'll see how that pans out.

Pretty sure that was the last year of the previous generation and will probably last you 200K miles

2024 was a complete redesign and when everything went to 4 cylinder turbo engines. I think a lot of people are skeptical about the reliability on the new ones because Toyota had a lot of warranty and recall issues with the V-6 turbo engines that came in the new gen Tundra's. The Tundra redesign came out a year or so before the new Tacoma's and it was right around delivery time on the initial batch of new Tacoma's when you started hearing about a bunch of issues in the new Tundra and recalls.

The original Ridgeline looked way better and more like a truck. Honda made it hideous on the 2nd gen design.

1st gen was a little too "boxy" for me. I also thought the sloped bed rails looked a little funky. They're damn tanks, though. The number of them still on the road is surprising.
