The shooting happened Thursday afternoon on 2nd Street North and 9th Avenue North.
Police say two men were in a scuffle when the victim was shot. He is in surgery with life-threatening injures.
The suspect is not in custody at this time.

Birmingham is definitely on the up and coming. Stuff like this happens all the time in NOLA and Chicago. It’s just newsworthy in B’Ham because it hardly happens there at all.

I know a guy that grew up there. Not surprised
Wheelchair baw is lucky he wasn't homicide #100 on the year in Bham, somebody is going to be that lucky number by the end of the weekend.
