WOODBRIDGE, N.J. -- A New Jersey man was arrested and charged after he purposely threw ice on the floor of a business and faked a slip and fall. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said 57-year-old Alexander Goldinsky, of Randolph, was subcontracted to work at a company in Woodbridge and allegedly orchestrated the scam in its break room. Surveillance video from 2018 shows the suspect fill a cup with ice and use the cup to toss the ice on the floor. He then shuffles toward the ice and uses a nearby counter to help him "slip and fall" onto the floor. Officials said Goldinsky waited on the ground until he was discovered. They said he then filed a false insurance claim for the ambulance service and treatment he received at a local hospital for injuries he claimed.

Need that life alert old man. A 60 year old grifter should know where the security cameras are.

Dumb arse

What a dumbass.

A place I worked at years ago got sued because a fat lady went to sit down in a chair but completely missed the chair and fell flat on her fat arse. The whole thing was caught on security camera. It was hilarious watching it after and we all assumed she did it intentionally but my employer's lawyers were never able to prove it. I think they settled out of court for a low amount.

Watched a similar thing unfold in Sears a few years back. I was looking at refrigerators being super quiet and minding my own business and this lady walks into my view with a water bottle. She poured the water on the ground, then put the water bottle IN the fridge then screamed out so loud.

Well, the department mgr comes over and is trying to help her up while apologizing profusely so I pull him aside and tell him what I witnessed and then he started laughing too. He said that the cameras would have picked up her shenanigans as well

If I'm running a business, there will be security cameras everywhere just for this.

I'm not in it to fire folks for mistakes, but for intentional shite like this.

Oh yeah

CYA

I have cameras all over the inside and outside of my home to cover my own arse. People sue for anything in this overly litigious country.

My good friend's dad is being sued because someone slipped on HIS DRIVEWAY on HIS PROPERTY when walking their dog.

What a POS. In this day and age how could someone not know that they are on camera just about anywhere you go?

Just moved recently, but the house I used to live in had this crazy lady a few doors down. Lived by herself. Had a bunch of dogs and cats. Well my immediate neighbor was this super nice old man. He and i were talking shortly after i moved in and i said "man, that lady over there seems kind of weird." He said "yeah, she's batsh*t crazy. She knocked on my door at 2am one morning. Told me she was walking her dog in my yard and tripped over some bricks. Told me I needed to move them so she wouldn't trip." I wanted to punch this lady in the face after he told me that. She never pulled any of that on me.

That video was so funny. I have probably watched it about 4 times. What really gets me is how extremely slow he fell.

Granted, if I was the business owner I'd be pretty pissed. But since I'm not I can continue laughing my arse off.
