Tonight, the company has its first live televised show from the US as tonight's G1 Special emanates from Long Beach, Ca., which includes the 1st round/quarterfinals of the Tournament to crown the 1st ever IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that grown men actually watch this stuff.

Watched this for the first time last week with my boys. Those guys are crazy! Their mic skills lack but they do moves far riskier than the American stars.

Not any different than grown men watching a fictional TV show like Game of Thrones or Walking Dead.

Crazy that I've seen several on these guys at Indy shows with 200-300 people. ZSJ, Scrull, and Adam Page. Page was in a tag team with Corey Hollis called "Country Strong". The others were probably just in the states and had an open date. ZSJ vs Cedrick Alexander was solid.
ETA--Country Jacked, not country strong.

Wish I had this channel. I get ROH but don't watch it much due to the time slot.

There is a certain crowd that gravitates towards this entertainment and that should tell you all you need to know.
Seems like most of the fanatical viewers are pre-teens and then once they hit puberty they grow out of it... then there is that certain segment that just doubles down and becomes more entrenched in this type of entertainment. I guess 'eccentric' is a good word to describe these grown men.
But to each his own.

I'm here in Long Beach and meet a couple from Phoenix that came in to see it. There is also a pirate festival that started today. Fun people watching.

Lots of poor people went to Shakespeare's plays back in his time. They even brought rotten food to throw at the performers on stage.
