Hubble has captured a new image of Saturn that makes you wonder if it’s even real. The image is so crisp it makes it look like Saturn is just floating in space. Which it is. This image of the ringed-planet was captured when Saturn was at its closest to Earth, some 1.36 billion km away (845 million miles) on June 20th, 2019. The crisp image was captured with Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3.)

Photos of planets outside of earth always looks so incredibly fake to me. Looking at that photo, I would 100% assume it was computer generated.

Our astronomy club set up a couple of telescopes (3" refractor and 5" reflector) in downtown Asheville one night and focused on Saturn. Many people couldn't believe the beauty of what they were observing and accused us of faking the image.

Someone has never looked through a telescope before.
The image I can get on my Amazon Prime bought telescope looks computer generated, now imagine the Hubble.

Apparently your Amazon Prime Telescope doesn’t let you see sarcasm or jokes.

It’s pretty fricking embarrassing that we haven’t fully explored mars yet to know if it can support life

Just think what we could accomplish if the whole country was working together on shared goals.

Instead only 80% of people contributing to the progress of society, while the other 20% mooch off of others and commit crimes.
