Installed new electric water heater in attic last Sunday. I have had to push the reset button in 4 times this week. What is my problem?

You didn't capitalize the I at the beginning of your sentence.

I have 2 in attic. I have changed both 2 times in 7 years because they all leaked at bottom.

What brand? Did you buy from Lowes?
Reason I ask, my plumber told me not to buy the brand they sell.
So I bought from Home Depot.

It's not a hot water heater. It's just a water heater. Hot water does not need to be heated.

Tankless is only effective if you have gas service. Electric tankless you need something like a 60kW or 75kw element to get the reheat capability simmiliar to a gas water heater
For the OP. What was the kW on the original heater compared to the new one? A higher kW will draw more amps. Your breaker may not be rated for the amp load.

the reset button on the tank itself? that usually happens if the bottom thermostat/element isnt working.

Well if you bought from Lowes, it is likely a Whirlpool.
Like I mentioned before, my plumber said they were horrible. And said to avoid due to constant problems. (I have rentals).
Maybe take that one back to Lowes and get a Rheem from HD.

seems to me like there is a button on each element...are you talking about one of those, or is there a single button for the whole heater?...
