If he didn’t run he likely would not have been in any legal trouble, assuming he was not intoxicated

That’s why he ran.

I realize he was intoxicated and left the scene, but was the student riding her skateboard in the street or did he strike her on a sidewalk? Was she crossing a marked crossing area? Haven't heard anything about that part on the news coverage. There is a park nearby Neville where kids can play.

Yes, very likely he had been drinking. I can’t think of any other reason to run. What a freaking shame

I used to live in that area so I know the area very well. There are no sidewalks. Kids just ride/play in the street/on the shoulder.

Which is something that’s just incredibly dumb. Playing in the street because there is no where else is trouble.

I’d be willing to lay a ton of money down that Danny was drunk. That location, coming around the curve, and drunk, doesn’t help the situation.

Monroe Police reveal detectives were able to identify that Ross was driving a white Chevy Equinox when he hit Dorsey while she was riding her skateboard on Park Avenue near Eason Place around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

It's 7 pm, dusk or dark, and the student riding a skateboard on Park Avenue. A sober, careful driver could have struck her. He should have stayed on the scene and called 911. He may have been arrested for driving while impaired, but possibly not for negligent homicide. The student was responsible for being in the street at 7 pm.

He also had a Hit & Run in 2016, and at least one DWI on his record.

That’s a face of a drunk if I’d ever seen one.

That mugshot is from when he fell asleep in the Mc Donald's drive thru on 10/13/19. He isn't smiling in the one they took this morning.

This picture is from a DWI arrest he had back a couple of weeks ago.

I know this guy. As someone else posted previously, he's weird.

I worked at the Bandido way back in the day when I was in High School. He worked there also.

I was told, the 15 year old girl was riding her skateboard down the road to a friends house to study.....

Obviously, this was an accident but - I am told his truck drug her for a little ways (I'm not sure how far), that there was noticeable damage to his vehicle and .... he went to work the next day.
