From what I understand, all of them, including mgt. and executive levels. This is being done to improve the balance sheet for the next quarter, getting all of the PTO off the books.

They're trying to weather the next quarter. People don't realize, all of their clinics and O/P facilities are shut down and not operating. I'm praying once the quarantine is lifted and those can open back up, eventually it will be back to normal.

I hear even the Amway operation the Oschners run in this region is having cash flow problems so no capital infusion into that from the hospital now.

Forced to use all GPT over the next 3 months. Once we run out, we keep going until we "owe" 40 hours. They said that GPT is a liability and our debt/asset ratio is wrecked because people aren't taking time off.

My wife works for Ochsner. She’s not happy at all. You feel like you’ve earned that PTO and she wants to use it as she wants. I get her anger. But I also get the purpose. It’s either this or they start letting people go. Luckily, she’s in drug trials and they got a couple grants for covid testing. But she’s still required to take two days off per pay period.

All GPT is wrong. It’s currently set at 96 hours. But you’re right about making people going into the negative as well.

Yeah I've been given conflicting answers by various leaders. I was told 96 hours. I was also told that certain teams like mine fall into the category where we use all GPT over 3 months, and up to having negative 40 hours if needed. I should've been more clear on that.

I heard a guy on the radio today saying that some hospital systems make something like 50-60% of the cash doing elective procedures. I may be off on my figures, but it was a huge amount.

A well managed OR can account for almost 75% of a hospitals revenue.

Ochsner couldn’t make it 4 weeks of paying bills.

Shame.
They need to have an emergency fund. 3 months of expenses set aside into a money market account. CUT THE CREDIT CARD!

And they need 2-3 weeks of clinic visits to load their OR boards. There are cases on hold but more than likely all those patients will have to be seen and labs run before they can schedule them.

At least. Over 90 percent of our hospital here in south Florida’s profits are orthopedic related.

I was in a town hall phone meeting with Senator Cassidy this morning (along with Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parishes presidents). He said they are planning (Trump et al) to implement phase 1 of reopening in Late April for Hospitals, clinics, etc to begin elective procedures. He said
Hospitals across the nation are losing millions.

He also bitched about Pelosi blocking SB loans

My girlfriend works there. She has to take 96 hours of GPT. She has over 220 hours. She’s not too upset. Just happy to still have a job
