What sucks is it’s not even cold enough up in big bear to be snowing. It would be OK if this ended up dumping loads of snow up there.

Think it'll be too bad to bother coming tomorrow? Looking to come ski a resort in either north or south lake on Saturday and Sunday. Coming from the Central Valley. I thought about Kirkwood but it seems like it can be tough to get to in bad weather.

Today and tomorrow is my focus.
Few weeks from now is trending wet still but there's a lot of noise to begin to say definitively.

You'll need to check road conditions and have chains with you most likely. It looks like there's going to be a window during the day tomorrow before another dump Friday night. You're close enough to attempt it if everything looks open and turn around if conditions deteriorate.
It should clear on Sunday, so you'll be able to leave by the afternoon.
Check NWS Reno and road conditions as you go.

88 is closing @ 2:30 for avalanche control.
Mt Rose has some epic snow right now and you could probably get there from South Shore and go through Incline Village.
Kirkwood is going to be fantastic Sunday/Monday if they open the spur

Nice, I've got a 4 day weekend and want to head up for some solo skiing. Thinking about staying in Reno which would be convenient to Mt Rose
