Timely thread. Had sinuplasty, turbinate reduction, and deviated septum taken care today. So far so good pain is tolerable. The post op instructions called for sinus rinse 4x daily. The first two rinses were gory. I'm using the neti bottle and Xlear packets with xylitol.

I have one(a Navage). Once you learn how to properly use one, (they take some practice) they work wonderfully.

I always use mine when I get done in the yard. Get all that dust and grass out of my nasal passages.

I also use them daily during the fall/winter to keep my sinus infections at bay since I'm very prone to them since my time in Baghdad.

Actually it helps with that as well. I read an article a while back from a respected source that said chances of Covid infection were dramatically reduced by using a nasal rinse daily.

Saline helps retard all viruses. My wife puts a drop of lavender oil in her pot which supposedly helps even more.

I have this problem when I am severely congested. Now I use the Neil Med in the green spray can. That stuff works great for me.
