Netflix increasing its price

Just saw on my Netflix they'll be increasing the monthly rate to $13.99 on January 15th.
I haven't been paying attention, but has this been discussed? Was this planned for a while?
Seems like an awfully convenient time for them to do it as they can use the, "We're doing this because of net neutrality" excuse, and not be the bad guy.
Pretty clever on their part if so.

If you like their original content and enjoy their service, the extra $5 a month to facilitate all of that is pretty reasonable.

Dont care. Will still pay.
People complain that all they have are boring arse documentaries and dont have lame, cheezy, basic-bitch, blockbuster films. All I watch are documentaries and pop-culture movies are juvenile.

Yeah $14 a month isn't bad , especially since I've given my username and password to my parents and siblings, so we have like 30 people sharing one account. No fricks given.

Netflix saves me a fortune considering that I almost never go to movies anymore and I rarely pay for a moving streaming it.
