I have been looking to buy a nest thermostat for my house. I went to the Nest Website and they are having a hell of a sale:

-$50 off the regular price

and

-A free google mini

and

-my gas company is giving a $100 rebate when I purchase.

So, I end up getting a $250 nest thermostat for $100 and a google mini thrown in for free!

My electric provider is having a customer appreciation event and it says nest will be available for $69.

I don’t know what model nest but either way it’s probably worth it.

I have Entergy for gas but demco for electric, does it matter if Entergy is not my electric company and to get the rebate? I know Entergy does give the rebate.

Just make sure if you install it yourself to turn the power off to the heater or electric handler before taking the old thermostat down. The red thermostat wire is hot coming right from the transformer. Without turning power off, touching this red wire to the metal will cause a short. Then you will pay an AC guy to come fix problem. Be careful.

Not sure...I saw a link on the nest website that showed me the rebate. You type in your zip and it tells you what is available in your area.

Congrats you just sold your home to Larry Page and Sergey Brin for like $200. Should've read the user agreement.
