He's pretty gutless. About what I'd expect.

Cops won't do anything.

Let his dog out of his yard and shoot it back in retaliation.

HIS dog was in HIS fricking yard

the neighbors should control their own damn dog

i assume the cop put the dog out of his misery when he arrived right?

I'm not saying I'd have shot the dog, but if he's in my yard and poses a threat to my kids, I have no opposition to it

I think that it probably wasn't the best way to handle it. He probably should have brought his son and dog inside and called animal control. Unless he happened to have the gun on him, he had time to go get the gun to shoot the dog.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like he was looking for an excuse to kill something. It doesn't make him look too good that he lied about it either.

Most of you are telling me what I already suspected.

His bullshite story will protect him in court. Sad but true.

The guy is a well-known piece of shite. Everyone in her neighborhood knows it. We even had a few others that live in the area stop by and tell us they had put their own dogs inside after hearing gunshots come from his direction.

Australian shepherd? Those are some of the least-aggressive dogs on the planet

I've been attacked by two dogs in my life, and both were Australian Shepherds and the events were 20 years apart. One was when I was 3 or 4. The other was several years back. Both times the dogs came at me from a distance. Obviously a small sample size, but I'm always hesitant when I see one.

I assume that there was an apb and a race to get there

The local Krispy Kreeme probably looked like a skunk walked in when that came over the radio.

Forgive my hyperbolic remark, but what do you think would be the appropriate punishment for an individual who does such harm to an innocent animal?

I am not quite the dog-lover that most posters on here are, but I still think it's wrong to harm animals or shoot a living being just for the hell of it.

Was his dog in his front yard and not confined/leashed?

Eta: I see the cop joke is already used like 10 times

Im not condoning the shooting of the dog, but if you feel threatened by the dog at least do it humanely and kill it instead of shooting it in the chest.
