OP would have a meltdown living in New Orleans considering 80% of the city is street parking only

Yeah those got to go. And the RV.
When it comes back, have it towed after 24 hours. Probably a city ordinance for that.

Im sure your neighbor is wondering why any of this is suddenly an issue now?
Only someone living in a bubble.
No he was confronted many years ago about that trailer... he intimidated the HOA... they came up w/ compromise for him to drape it with fake leaves... It's like a big net...
I made peace with it...
Parking in cul de sac is 1 o'clock in front of my house...
When his RV is there...it feels like its a giant billboard...an old billboard that needs a facelift...

I live in a subdivision not "the city"

I understand that but I learned a long time ago that if I was too concerned about what my neighbors were doing to the point of writing letters and filing reports to the city, I might as well move to somewhere extremely rural.
Not telling anyone what they should do, just seems like you are stressing yourself over extreme first world problems.

This is a bit confusing. Does he have three trailers? One in driveway, one covered with leaves for 10 years and big one in full de sac?
Sorry...
1. Black boxed v nose trailer on driveway netted with fake leaves
2. Iron Bull commercial trailer with tandem axel...in street attached to dualy Chevy truck...its long...
It sits off to the side in cul de sac...irony is from his view inside his house he can't see much of it.
My view is a side profile of new rig...im in my living room and can see all of it...

Houses in here 25 years ago were 250k.ave... Now some go for 750k... Thats how crazy the market is...people are desperate to buy
I know the market down there, I lived in Durham for ten years, up until December of 2019. We just bought a lot to build on this Christmas down near Pinehurst. Think of the value that your shitty HOA is stealing from you and your neighbors. Not just because of the RV guy, but all the other issues they ignore. They are stealing money from you coming and going. You are paying them to police things like yards and upkeep. With the real estate market down there the way it is, they are fricking you right in your wallet.

Damn, someone doing what they choose with their own property.
They need to be stopped.

Tru dat...
I just want to be surrounded by like minded neighbors...you know take care of their property...have grass not weeds..basics!
His possessions are such that he should be in the country...rather than here...
Like I said the city is going to handle this because the HOA can't handle him..

Yeah, that's not how suburban HOA neighborhoods work.

No I think you are in the right and the hate is unwarranted. You chose to live in a community governed by a set of existing covenants codes and restrictions and you do just that. In return you expect everyone else to do the same. You pay “x” for a governing body to enforce those CCR’s and shouldn’t have to be the one negotiating other residents do the same.

They bought property with covenants clearly LEGALLY earmarked to their property’s title. Your logic is flawed

100%
The house next door just sold for 780k
So right now the market doesn't give a frick about surrounding issues.
That said that home had a 260k renovation 10 years ago....most houses in here might see 500...
But they look like 325 tops...
Eventually these issues are going to hurt us...
1st world problems I guess

Thank you...
This forum is hard to communicate the full circumstances...
But you summarized it well.
I know I'm not wrong...I just fricked up getting involved the manner I did because the HOA is soft

LOL, you sound like a tattle tale and a whiner. Your best bet is to back off and hope he doesn't kick your arse in front of the HOA and your family.

his reply wasn't horrible but not great either.
Also feel I caught him lying about his intentions...
The neighbors who just moved asked him about his plans...
"Oh it will just be here evenings and weekends"
So I concluded it was permanent situation.
I also didn't think it was right for new neighbors to be blindsided with this situation...
They just dropped 780k...and they get to look at 2 trailers next door?
Nah...thats not alright

My saltiness about busy body neighbors in these situations comes from my recent experience.
We bought my lot from someone that inherited the land. Went through the process, no covenants or anything listed on the deed.
We go to get our house plans approved and the city approves them. Prior to building the woman next to the property had apparently been freaking out that we were building on the empty lot next to her that has been empty for years. She also took down our survey stakes at one point.
Well it turns out this area is under civic association covenants with set back requirements different than city standards. But these covenants were loosely enforced. This woman reported to city about our layout saying it violated the set back of the civic association. We had to change our plans and everything.
The best thing about this is that her house violates all of those set backs as well as all houses around me.
People can be real Assholes.
