Neighbor issues and weak HOA

Sucks having to confront neighbors about things that you shouldn't have to...that your HOA should do...with out them asking for your assistance...yes they asked me call city on neighbors for backup...??
I didn't handle it the best (sent wordy email after the deed)...but this neighbor can be a bully to get his way...
I know for a fact it would have gone bad one on one...cuz there is a history others have experienced...issues surround his trailers... one on his driveway for 10 years the other brand new Iron Bull in cul de sac attached to dually truck...both against covenants and ordinance violations.
Someone else turned him in to our Hoa and city ordinances folk...but by crazy timing I'm in the middle of it..
I Apologized for not talking to him directly and invited them over for dinner for peace offering
...hope neighborly relationship can at least be cordial moving forward...
Probably not...
Tension sucks...but something had to change...I've been mad since another neighbor told me he had no plans for storage for big trailer in the street...(confirmed tonight...no ambiguity...)...
Of course tonight he tells me he had plans all along for storage...was just waiting for a lot to open up...

Careful, the thing with neighbors is that you have to live next to them. It can be worse than a bad marriage.

Yeah I hear you but the HOA is afraid of him...
Because he bullied them...they advised me not to talk to him...
He has fake vegetation over his boxed trailer...that was the compromise 7 years ago...
