Also false, you do not need to scroll through menus to change the temp in a Tesla.

It's wild how much misinformation is posted in every single Tesla thread.

People like the person he replied to will never give any weight to anything with respect to EVs.

The funny thing about this low IQ reply is that no one said that there are no negatives, but multiple people have said that "everything" and "all of it" on the flip side.

Again, willfully dumb people being willfully dumb.

I don't care for the regenerative braking. Years and years of coasting when I take my foot off the gas. Not a fan of immediate braking or having to keep my foot on the accelerator when I should be able to coast.

Interesting

The 1 pedal driving is legit my #1 favorite feature by far of owning a Tesla. 2nd, whatever it is, is not even close. 99% of the time, you never have to touch the brake with your foot. I love it.

Maybe not 2nd, but another great benefit that 1 other poster mentioned that usually isn't mentioned, not having to deal with your typical folks you have to deal with wandering around near gas stations. I live in a decent town so it doesn't happen much, but even in a nice town, gas stations will attract the weird folks that want to interact with you.

All of the open pit mining for EV materials is bad for the environment.

How many families who take family vacations own only one vehicle?

We talk about battery degradation in pretty much every long Tesla thread, so who are you thinking doesn't like to talk about that?

Unless you own a home with a garage and the ability to charge it there, I wouldn’t consider it. Fuuuuuck having to go to charging stations

Yea, I wouldn't want to bother with it either, even if it were just once per week or so of going out to a supercharging station. That still wouldn't be worth it for me.

He said they also burn through tires a lot quicker than gas cars, I guess because they’re heavier.

$450 per tire according to my brother.

Welp....I'm IN! Sign me up.

Was strongly considering an Ioniq 5 or 6 until they got axed for the tax credits, though.

Your brother is wrong.

Your brother may have tires that cost $450 per tire on his Tesla, but that is not necessary and tires really aren't any more expensive than a comparable car.

The way people on here talk about replacing a battery you'd think they'd all be on bicycles. Wouldn't want to scare anyone with replacing the engine in an ICE, better get on a man-powered machine!

Just checked tirerack and a Pilot 4S is $300. And there are much cheaper ones available.

It's all positives and negatives. That's how it works.
