Yeah It was an entertaining read but shouldn't have made it seem like it has just happened. Would obviously be national news if a killer wrote a letter to a local paper like the fricking zodiac killer

I grew up in a very old house in New Orleans (mid to late 1800s when it was built). The house belonged to the same family for several generations before my parents bought it. It was originally a double, and my father would rent the upstairs to very interesting tenants that one could only find in New Orleans. One day my dad was showing the upstairs apartment to a woman who ran one of the ghost tours in the Quarter and the cemeteries Uptown. After they were done, the woman told my dad that we needed to have the house blessed. She said she "saw a woman in a black dress standing in the corner, staring at her as she walked around the apartment". My dad shrugged it off as some crazy arse New Orleans woman being crazy. Anyway, a year or so lady we get a knock on our door from an elderly woman who said she grew up in our house and the house had belonged to her family for generations. She shows us really old pictures of the house and her family. There was a very old picture of a woman in a black dress posed in what was our kitchen at the time. My dad asks the lady who the woman was. She replied "that was my grandmother, wearing her favorite dress. She loved it so much we buried her in it." They even had the wake at the house (I guess that was customary for the time?) My dad calls a priest to bless the house the next week. And I shite you not, when the priest is blessing the upstairs, a mirror that we had nailed to one of the walls fell and freaking shattered all over the place. Nailed to the freaking wall. Could all just be weird, stupid coincidences but to this day when I visit my parents I get a weird feeling going upstairs.
