After interest and fees for 7 years that $40k will be over $80k

If you are ok with your wife paying your debt or going to jail by all means go ahead.

I'm guessing you were not a member of the Corp of Cadets.

Absolutely. You've figured it out. Enjoy and report back in seven years.

you know what that makes you if you don't pay?

A fricking thief

You should have considered the ability to pay your debt before choosing that libtard degree from community college.

Yeah those never go away short of you ending up in a wooden box.

Good luck.

I'm pretty sure this a-hole is trolling, but if this is for real, this type of attitude makes my blood boil. No one forced your dumb arse to go to college. No one forced you to finance it with student loans.
Now how bout you take some responsibility and don't blame the government for your shitty decision making? Pay back what you borrower instead of being a leech. There's your advice.

Dude, you knew when you signed up and got the funds there would come a day to pay up!
Question: you party with any of this money or did you use it strictly for school??? Be honest!

Pay your fricking debts!
Don't start life out as a leech!

I don't feel you need to be responsible for debt that government offered without informing you the magnitude. If the government didn't tax for social security or other stuff I don't use, I could pay my loan

Here is my recommendation, first print out this entire thread, and highlight your posts. Then take the printout and your college diploma back to College Station. Go to the office of the Dean of your school, give him the diploma, tell him, "I am sorry, you have made a mistake, I should never have been awarded this diploma, and this is why," hand them the thread printout. The next day enroll in a welding class, pay attention, practice, and use that skill to earn money to repay your debt.

Good Lord! How old are you? Did you read the fine print and the disclosure before you signed up? Never did answer questions. I bet you partied your arse off with the money.
