Coming to the game Saturday, and since I coach high school ball, have to fly in. Expected 2:30 game, so flight arrives in Baton Rouge at 9:30 am. Crew from outside of Nola Burbs won't arrive to join till closer to noon.

Question, where's either a interesting place near campus to grab some breakfast or something that's a must do early in the AM, that hopefully only has around a 25-30% chance of me getting shot.

Came down about 15 years ago and everyone was really cool, even got to stay after and drink a few in the press box since I rode with journalists working the game.

Louie's right north of campus.
Then walk over to the Chimes and grab a bar seat for some beers while you wait for your crew.

This is the correct answer.

Just scoped the menu and this absolutely looks like the move.

Next question. I see a whole lot that looks LEGIT. What's the order advice?

Old me would be all over this, but quit drinking almost two years ago. Still good idea or just roam a bit?

Cut my teeth as a D-Line coach, but my mind works from the offensive side. So, I coach O-Line primarily these days.

Just poke your head in and see if the vide suits you. If nothing else, you can watch the early games in the bar area.

It's never a bad idea just to walk around campus while you wait. Weather should be great. Plenty of tailgating will be happening. If you are friendly, I'm sure someone will invite you to eat and hang out.

Exactly how it went down last time I was in town, but like I said that feels like 100 years ago.

Thanks y'all. Really appreciate the help

I ate at the Chimes last time I was in town for the Bama game, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly don't even remember what I ate, only that it was incredible.

Everyone will say Louie’s for its convenient location but imo slightly overrated and might be packed gameday morning. I’d go check out Simple Joe or Zeeland Street. Both are less than 10 minutes from campus

The Louie’s hash browns are the only way to go.

WTF?

You realize you don't set directly off the plane onto campus?
