walmart - as much as i hate that place but they actually have great deals and do a decent job (believe it or not)
If you have time to wait a week or so, you can order GOOD tires online at walmart(dot) com, for as cheap as you're going to find anywhere. Have them shipped to store, your nearest Walmart, and they mount and balance for a good price, again as cheap as you can find anywhere.
And their road hazard is a good price, and- it applies to any Walmart with an automotive section.
Someone commented about buying local... nice idea, until you get a flat driving somewhere out of town.

Toyota's are known for needing new tires - sometimes as often as every 45,000 miles.
Any 4 wheel drive vehicle will rip through tires if alignment isn't kept up and they aren't properly rotated. This is also true of 2 wheel drive vehicles but it's even worse with 4 wheel drive and tire cupping can occur even faster.

BFG KO2 is always going to be the right answer for an AT.
BFG KM3 is always going to be the right answer for an MT.
BFG Krawler (red label) is always going to be the right answer for a Rock Tire.
Save your fingers and just downvote me, because I won't read contradictory responses.

Lol at people needing AT tires for a 4Runner. Biggest poser ride out there.

No, you want something with better on-road performance. I just researched this and ended up just putting with what it came with from the factory. I didn’t find any reason to change...and everything else I found was a loght truck tire that just looked a bit off. Style is high up on the wife’s vehicle priority list. Didn’t want to mess that up.

How long have you owned cars and not know this?

Toyota dealers run Buy 3, get one for $1 in March or April every year (Price Leblanc does atleast). They even do price match

I also have a 2015 4Runner limited. There are not a lot of options in stock at the tire places, usually only 1 variety without special ordering. I went with what Firestone had and used a coupon from their website. This was about a month ago

Call dealerships.
Ask for takeoffs.

My buddy got anset of at2s for his 20" wheels from Ford for $400

I hace a 20% off coupon for good years website that will put you below cost on certain truck tires.
They screwed up and sent me two a while back.
Order online and then ship to a local installer. They install for 15 per tire if you pay goodyear instead of them
Email "username"livesforever at Google.
I can send it to you.

Where did you get them for that price? I'm seeing them at Costco for $761 right now.
I have a customer that dabbles in the used car business. He has a tire wholesale license.
We barter for our services at cost. He has a tire machine, balance machine and lift in his personal workshop at home.
My son and him mount and balance them. I’ve been lucky that I always had tire dealers as customers. Haven’t paid cash for tires since 1995.
Sorry I didn’t explain that.
thejudge just posted to call dealerships about takeoffs. You can get excellent deals that way.

walmart & Costco for tires - the employees are paid minimum, so don't be surprised with sub par work.
Know how I know you're talking out of your arse with one of these....

Michelin LTX M/S2 are the best tires I have ever purchased for my 4runner. They handle great in all conditions, low road noise, and 60k miles on them with plenty of tread left. Had used Michelin Cross Terrains before, which were really good, but these handle better and are wearing better.
Tirerack.com is a good resource for reviews. I have had good luck with Chabills for service. They have free lifetime rotation and balancing, too.

Rent the same vehicle. Trade out the tires. Return rental
I wonder how many times this worked out for someone and the rental company did not even notice.

I got my last set at Walmart for my 4Runner. Bought some Cooper A/T's. Cooper makes a line just for Walmart. Supposedly the last model A/T 3's. $115sh a piece.
