Need help on clicking gas burners after water spill

Google says it's due to moisture (I spilled a lot of water on the stove) and to remove the burner tops to let them air out.
How long will this clicking last? All 4 burners are clicking at once (the clicking before the burners ignite).

Turn the burners on for awhile and it may stop. Light them with a match or lighter if you have to.

Its been going for like 15 minutes.
I tried to turn them on but they wont ignite now and I hear I high pitched sound followed by the smell of gas.
Wait longer I guess?

They are trying to spark but are too wet. Use a match or lighter when you turn the gas on.

Light the burners with a lighter and let them all burn a few minutes.

Not lighting. Flame wont stay lit. It's like a blow torch reaction.

It has the blow torch flame when I try to light then when I try to put the setting on high it recedes to nothing.
Eta: got them lit. I'll wait now and update.

Burners have been running and the clicking is still occurring on all four burners every 2 seconds.

Dry up the water and eventually they will stop clicking, it may take a while but they will stop. It’s happened on mine many times.

Mouth breather.
Gas is simple.

Probably gonna have to light them with a match unless you can handle waiting a few hours.

Clicking is slowing down substantially now.
Damn, been running all four burners for about half an hour now.
Thanks to everyone in this thread.
Merry Christmas
Eta: clicking has ceased entirely.

Glad to hear it quit clicking. Your stove may be fooked though with the electric lighting capability, but you can always use a lighter. Merry Christmas!!

How would I determine the state of that? As of now it appears to be working normally.

It's gonna explode
I'll need a staple, three rubber bands - each of varying sizes, a fingernail clipper and a 20 oz Mr. Pibb, not DR PEPPER.
You have 15 seconds
