Silver Salmon Creek
If anyone is looking to make the trip you should check out Silver Salmon Creek Lodge. There's a little more room to roam and you have the bears on the beach at low tide and in the sedge meadows when the water is higher, so you always have bears around. If you want to time it with the salmon run they can help you plan it based on what species of salmon you want.

I love that channel.
The first time I saw it was 2010 in Afghanistan. Not sure how I found it maybe someone told me about. I would sit and watch for hours.

I had my timing a bit off. I was there in September when it was a lot cooler, so we didn't have any mosquitos. It's the middle of the sockeye salmon dying off, so we fished for trout mostly.
The dead or nearly dead salmon are everywhere so the bears are in peak feasting season, just sitting there and grabbing fish left and right.
I probably saw a hundred bears in a week.

If you've ever thought you went through a lot just to get laid, this is what some of the salmon look like when they finally reach the breeding grounds. That America's show with Tom Hanks had a cool segment on their travels.
