When did Facebook become so prevalent to Native Americans? All I see these days are posts referencing “my tribe” ... “Had a super weekend with my tribe!”

What gives?

Most of the people posting this are white, stay at home moms fwiw... perplexing

Most of the reservations didn't have WiFi until around the middle of the year. Legislation was passed (in June, I believe) by the NNAC to allow reservation wide WiFi. Before then, it was reserved only for chiefs and a few select other officials.

Have seen exactly zero instances of this kind of stuff on Facebook. It is much more welcome than Rodan + Fields spam.

Your edit to add the information that they're white moms is vital.

Without that it looks like you're complaining about native Americans using Facebook.

It was supposed to be a play on "tribe". I think plenty of people got it, they just weren't moved to post.

When they realized posting selfies doesn't steal your soul.......

.........because, if you are posting selfies, you have no soul.

My great grandmother was a quarter Cherokee. One of my cousins' wife, from Oklahoma, told my mom there are all kinds of tax breaks and benefits she could be taking advantage of.

Hi-yai-yai-yai!

I have one Native American Facebook friend. He's a huge Washington Redskins fan, really into guns, not a drinker, he works in IT, he's a conservative Republican, his son just joined the Marine Corps. His name is Frank. He's a real mind frick as far as Native Americans go.
