It is true! I texted my buddy who has been working there for the past 5 years and he confirmed it. He said he left a while back after his maintenance tenure to "go make buku money somewhere," and they never heard from him again.

It's true. I know the family that owns it pretty well.
I went by there one Monday (during the day) and he was in there. We talked for a bit because I had gotten to know him through the baseball players when I was at LSU. After about 10 mins the owner of the Texas Club walked up and handed him a list of chores so he left and got to work. He told me Todd wasn't in a good place with his health or his bank account so he gave him jobs to keep him busy and give him money.
ETA: he had lost a little weight but still smelled as bad as ever

Only reshared it to say that it looks like all the news sites have the wrong date... which explains why only one person went to the hospital last night. They need to check the police response logs from 5 days ago!

I can confirm this. His brother was the GM where I worked in college. Todd was in 4-5 times a week.

This may help if anyone was arrested. I thought I saw where no arrests were made though.

Honestly don't see how LSU could or should do anything. Wasn't on school property. The only way they should have any control over what happened is if they were student athletes.

I was on that team. We beat Waterloo(college in Ontario) in a muddy Final on that sandy arse pitch closest to Lobdell at Independence Park.
