Have to guess the likelihood of complex life on that thing is like 99.99%, correct?

I think you should change your name to: Oscar the Grouch, bucket.

We aren't going to go there, or even live there in our lifetime. Im pretty sure that they're kinda guessing anyway being some of the shite is 1400 light years away.

I would like a planet named after myself.

What have they announced today that was a "guess"?

What's really weird is we're trying to figure out ways to detect life from distance even though we couldn't communicate. However, that means the other scenario could be true, they can see us and know we're here, but have no way to contact us. Spooky

Not being grouchy, just a realist.
And yours to "a material girl in a material world"

No, I'm at work and space seriously freaks me out.

Your grand pappy in 1402 said the same thing about a "new" world to the west, while farming his land in France. And in 2015 you set in America, reaping the rewards for the other group who wanted to see what was out there.

maybe someone will hurry up and find a stargate and we can just hop on over

Since we can't currently travel to these planets we should stop studying and investigating them? It was too long ago there was a question if other planets, much less ones in the habitable zones even existed, and now we are finding planets similar to Earth in size, in the habitable zone of Sun-like stars.

If they can see us... they're looking at us from 1400 years ago... What was going on around the year 600?
