NASA suspends HLS award for SpaceX

Blue Origin and Dynetics are challenging the award going to SpaceX.
This is the entitled world of government contractors and it is annoying.
Blue Origin - Would cost more and give you less in return
Dynetics - Did not even meet the requirements in their bid.

Elon doesn’t need NASA to get to Mars or the Moon but NASA can’t even get to low earth orbit without Elon.

This is a microcosm that is representative of the sad current day reality of our Nation. We did more with fricking slide rules in the 60’s.
We are back-sliding in so many areas of achievement. It’s as though we don’t have the collective will for it, and the massive waste and corruption in the federal government compounds it exponentially.

I'm wondering how long before the uber rich just buy their own island and claim sovereignty. Just move your company to this new land. Put in place you're own rules. Still pay taxes in wherever you operate. spend a few hundred million on security, etc.

Yeah, it's like how the hell could they send guys to the moon 50 years ago when the moon is 230,000 miles from earth and through a radiation belt. But nowadays they only send astronauts to the international space station that is 254 miles away.
