So you know Steve Riley.

He played baseball at Jesuit and tulane.

He's my age...54.

Clendon would take Barry out after school every day.

Barry played AAA for about 12 years.

read it quick so I can edit it out.

FWIW chess has been on ESPN. Not often, but it's happened.

For that matter so has Starcraft.

I am not counting foursquare on the playground or dodgeball in P.E. It had to be a competitive sport with actual tournaments/meets/etc.

Tennis
Soccer
Swimming
Gymnastics

Barry Butera was only in the minors for 3 seasons, blew out his knee.
I barely knew Steve Riley. I was nowhere near good enough to make the teams he was on. They won two prep and two legion state championships in two years.
Entire starting line up went to division 1 schools and played ball

George Carlin had an interesting perspective on this. You should Google it.

At least once in my life I've done all of those things. I was just listing things I've done in a sporting or competitive manner. And looking through the thread, I missed a few.

Only played soccer, tennis, bowling, and cross country in an organized setting. Maybe baseball, but it was just a camp I did over the summer. And I'm not including field day at school.
