Not sure how Pittsburgh is underrated at this point. It is a badass place.

Anybody that looks down upon San Antonio is probably a little on the uncultured side as well. Huge city, easy to get around, you have the touristy downtown area, but enough places to get out and enjoy without the crowds.

I’ll echo some others:

Detroit
Cleveland
Buffalo

Rust belt cities that have been hurt, but are slowly rebounding. There’s so much great food to be had in the ethnically centered communities. They’ve each managed to create some decent areas along the waterfront. You have sports, theaters, and it’s not unbearably hot in the summer.

I’ll be a homer:

People on here shite on Corpus Christi, but it’s a great (and cheap) escape from Houston or the lib pockets of Texas. There’s great fishing, good enough beaches, and a nice downtown area.
