Good lord, people are so fricking lazy.
How can one not handle one dog?
Anyone can handle kids AND pets at the same time, with some effort.

Not sure how your house is set up but a baby gate could possibly work
Or put her outside in the yard for a bit

She's such a nervous dog. Bicycles, squirrels, other walkers, etc. set her off in a frenzy. I used to run with her on a leash, but had to run on the levee south of the casino where NO one was.

There are products like calming treats for this
I don’t know if they work or not
Or you could talk to the vet about a low dose medication

I know how my thread sounds. I really do. But I've mentioned I've been renovating my house. I have basically been working on this house since 2015 and I have done/am doing a LOT of the work myself. So it's been years that I haven't had time/energy to devote to giving her the attention/exercise she needs

Look, you can make excuses or you can find solutions.

Just admit it, you don’t want the dog and are fine with abandoning her, which will probably kill her. So if you don’t want your dog, which has given you 11 years, go dig a hole and put a bullet behind her ear since she’s no longer worth your time.

Or, you can be a man and try to find a little time for a dog desperate to give you and your family some love.

Either way, it’s YOUR responsibility, not someone else’s. She’s bonded to you now.

She's seen a lot of homes in her 11 years. We have moved a lot. She's lived in three different states and probably six different homes. My current home isn't the best for her.

Maybe I need to qualify it for you, lil guy.

All she knows is YOU and YOUR family. Wherever you are at, is her home. Let me know if you need help understanding that.

there is zero chance that you don't have 30 minutes a day to take her on a walk. you could do it with the kids and wife and make it a family thing.

go watch marley and me

Feel for you man. My ex wife had to have a dog against my better judgement. After our child was born she no longer wanted it. After we got divorced she wasn’t going to take it so I kept it out of pity. I don’t want a dog but she’s 11 and I’d feel terrible giving her to someone else.

the dog's anxiety isn't because of the kids, it's because the dog isn't getting exercised.

shite if you can't find 30 minutes a day (bullshite), you could hire a dog walker to walk it once or twice a day

It doesn’t matter how many homes she has seen, you have been with her throughout

I believe you want what’s best for her but that is with you even though it may not seem like it
If you get rid of her she is going to grieve no matter how perfect the new home is

She probably doesn’t have many years left, do what’s best for her, find 20-30 minutes a day for her & make it work

So your dog is acting like a normal dog and you want to get rid of her because you decided to have 3 kids and it’s “too much”? Get a grip dude my God

who cares why, the dog is acting odd. Who knows. But let it bite a kid or tear up all their shite. Some dogs don’t adjust. Some do. But dogs are about 109 rungs lower on the ladder than kids

Medication. My dog is on Prozac and we have trazadone for stressful situations.

Hire a neighborhood kid to take her for a walk daily.

There’s ways around this.

If a euthanization does occur, let it be you instead of the dog
