A vote for JBE was a vote for Morris Bart and Gordon McKernan. The 2nd term is when the big money donors really get their backs scratched.

incorrect. democrats tried to put a clause requiring insurance rates to be cut, but the republican legislators did not support that clause.

Yeah, maybe. But still, there’s no reason to not bring the law more in line with all the other states that have cheaper ins rates.

The opponents who screamed that there was no guarantee that rates would fall by X amount. Well of course there are no guarantees in life. But create a legal and business environment that makes rate decreases possible. The status quo certainly won’t do it.
