Maybe instead of debating the same old “gun regulation” debate, we should be putting some effort into discussing how a tragedy involving black youth is treated differently than a mass shooting with a white personal?

The media is either neglecting this story due to progressive nannying to protect the reputation of the black community or they’re literally racist and don’t care about black tragedies.

Don’t kid yourself. It has nothing to do with protecting black people and everything to do with voting and power retention.

Also, the VAST majority of gun-related homicides are from handguns, not "military grade weapons". There is a laundry list of funny items that kill more people annually than rifles.

This hasn’t been true for a while now. While the majority of firearm homicides are still handguns, rifles have been increasing significantly over the past decade. The FBI statistics are not very accurate due to poor reporting from police agencies.

Well, I can't shoot her with a 30-06, because that's "military grade" too. And "sights?" Sights are miltary grade? I don't know what a "gangster grip" is, but you do you.

Ignorant people like you just need to call 911.

You want to go by statistics?

Ban gun ownership for black youths/young men between the ages of 15-30 and gun violence falls by 30%

Suicides make up the most "gun violence" statistics.

Without looking I'd guess that over 90% of gun deaths are committed with handguns. I'd be surprised if it wasn't over 95%

The VAST majority of these guns are owned by law-abiding citizens. What will decreasing those #s do towards crime?

and to say we shouldn’t bother doing anyhting about the actual gun component of the equation is just shortsighted and lazy .

I’ve probably done more research on the effects of gun control policies globally than 99% of voters. Not sure how looking at all that data and coming to the conclusion that gun control policies are, at best, ineffective at altering violence is “lazy and shortsighted”.

Maybe I should just turn cable news on in the background and get my opinions directly from DNC and GOP in order to avoid being “lazy”.

If welfare were never a thing, then ghettos and gangs would never have come into existence, and crime statistics, where 6% of the population (black males) create almost 50% of all crime would be drastically different.

Is that what you are looking for?

So if we can't use the FBI stats, what stats are you using for national reporting on murders via rifle?

No thanks slut, I already had some this morning.
You should already know the truth, admit it to yourself and things can get better.
If you need me to tell you the truth, you are part of the problem and you should take yourself out.

You can say you don’t know what the frick you are talking about. I’m waiting. Even military m4s aren’t full auto, you dumb frick.
This is incorrect. The M16A2 came with the semi, burst and FA, the M4 was the next version with semi, burst and FA, then the M4A1 came out around 2012 with semi and FA only.

For sure.

AR's are the choice of yutes because they see that shite on video games, but handguns are used in most "gun crimes."

Va Tech shooter used two handguns.

There are plenty restrictions on gun
Ownership now that aren’t illegal and are pretty well accepted by gun owners.

The stats are the stats. Where you go off the rails though is in identifying the problem or solution. The problem isn’t guns. If it was guns causing the violence then violence of this nature and these levels should date back centuries. But this type of violence only dates back a few decades. Guns have not changed in that timespan. People have changed. Society has changed. That’s the problem, people and society.

So are you interested in solving the problem or are you interested in pointless gun control?

If you really want to stop gun violence then take to the streets in Chicago, St Louis, NOLA, etc and start trying to help those gang members that keep committing "mass shootings" because the 32 you are reporting on are mostly done by them every weekend

You are trying to have a rational debate with someone that, several pages ago, let you all know what his angle is.

You think this mentally ill freak wants the guns removed from the actual criminals? No. Read his posts.

If he got his way, the first people he would take the guns from are the law-abiding citizens, especially those republicans he hates so much.

It is his fellow voters committing the vast majority of the gun crimes in this country. He knows this, but as a mentally ill progressive, his job is to lie and throw out strawmen. He's not a redeemable human being by any stretch of the imagination. Just the perfect useful idiot for the Democrats and their media. He's got the talking points down perfectly.
