I shaking my head at all you guys that say your bank freaks the frick out if you withdraw a decent amount of money…
Banks are required to report withdrawals over $10K to comply with the bank secrecy act.

But the worse part is, as a white woman who's never been arrested, instead of calling our two family friends who are attorneys or the sheriff's department,
I understand there's legit scams out there, but no way in hell is my wife proceeding without telling me first

She’s not a breeder, do not have kids with her, do not pro-create with anyone that sends $17K to some Nigerian Bail Bondsman.
Wow, this is next level dumb, I feel sorry for you.
What’s her #? She has won a grand prize of $1Million, all she has to do is wire $20K into my account and then I’ll refund her the $1Million.
lol jk, and sorry making fun of a bad situation.
But you brought it here & you’ve got to realize that this is the wrong place to bring this story.
If ya’ll don’t have kids, keep it that way. She sounds like a Mom that could forget the baby in a car seat on top the car or inside the car in August with 110 temps.
Next level dummy, I’ve got an ex-wife that’s close to that level, but not even she would just send $17K to a Nigerian Bail Bondsman, lol

I know that. Some people were talking about a 2-3k withdrawal

Bumping this because I read it over a month ago and my 73 yr old mother got hit with the same scam today. Told her she couldn't hang up without being arrested made her go to 4 different places to try and deposit money to "pay her dues". She was a compliance officer at a bank for 40 years and they still got her. Knew just enough information to keep her on the hook. Finally came to her senses before she made her 3rd $1000 deposit, but is understandably still shook up.
Be careful out there and make others aware.

Caught a scam attempt early & went to bank to make some changes in my accounts just to be on the safe side. Mgr. told me that her branch alone was getting 5-6 attempts a week. most involving computer "virus" scams.
