What brand would you recommend?

Dog foods are all rated. The more stars, the better. A good food has less fillers and wont require you to feed as much to maintain a healthy dog.

I use Fromm. Its grain free and is interchangeable once they have been established on it. Bulldogs cant process grains in dog food which leads to all kinds of digestive issues. Some are worse than others. Also many are allergic to chicken and lots of food has chicken in it. Mine is so I had to change the food that the breeder was feeding him. But since eating Fromm he has been great. No issues at all. He dose not even fart which is another common bulldog problem that people find when feeding then shitty food.

My bulldog is a foul, foul animal, and a dick head.

My bully farts, but its the one thing about him that doesn't stink. My little dog's farts are worse than his. I guess I got lucky with one and not the other.

Lucky you. Mine can lay around all day, but he really want to do stuff. I'm the unluckiest bulldog owner ever. That blub of lard can somehow jump onto a bed about 4(?) feet up. How is that possible? He is athletic.

Mine is the same way. 90% of her day is spent sleeping or fighting the urge. I love her dumbass to death, but she's completely useless. Might as well be a cat.

And she's gross and gets eye shite and saliva everywhere. Ruins bare couches. Her deviated septum makes drinking water and eating food a damn adventure. Need to tie a mop to her.

ETA- the loud snoring...my god

Here's the Fromm retail locator

Tractor supply sells Taste of the Wild which is a grain free high quality food. It's also all stages so you can feed it to him from now on. Ours stayed on it for 2 years, but he developed an allergy to it and we had to take him off.

He's on Avoderm grain free now which is sold at Petco. I don't have any complaints with it either, although it's a little more expensive

This is true. We have a 2 year old English Bulldog that we got at 8 weeks. Looks a lot like yours but a bit more brown. Ryno is his name, and it fits him, he's a ham.

Get ready for the ride, that breed is a blast.

Really awesome gift on so many levels! The short life span would scare me especially since I have a little one at home, but I am sure many wonderful memories will be made!

All I know is my woman had damn well better have a baby tiger waiting for me!!!

This one should do fine...

Awesome gift! I got an EBD (of the better...maroon variety. Yes, I went there) as a wedding gift.

Best dog ever. They do stink, cost money, etc. but it was worth it for us.

They do chew on some sh!t though. I had some antique furniture...chairs, table, etc and that turd chewed the bottme 12" of anything he could fit in his mouth. Be ware of any wood you have...dude will take it down.

Enjoy and Congrats!

At MSU we've had some very athletic Bullys and they would have no problem jumping onto a bed.

They are powerful dogs. When ours gets tired of playing tug of war with my wife he will jerk the rope out of her hand and there is nothing she can do about it
