I told her it was a cold blooded reptile not a damn Transformer. The thing will be moving for awhile and had to educate her that the head can still bite after it is detached from the body. She has a masters degree and somehow I guess she had never seen a dead snake fresh after the kill until she was 28-29.

We went from a 4500SF house to a 2600SF, you would have thought the world was coming to an end. 95% of the stuff that had to go was her stuff that she hadn't touched in years, old lesson plans from teaching, notebooks, textbooks, 3 sets of encyclopedias. She wanted to rent a storage unit, I squashed that.

New house, I was hanging curtains, since she was running errands I asked her to get 1.5" wood screws. She came back and said all the had were metal ones. I wept. No, a master's degree doesn't help.

Went through that a year ago thankfully we were upsizing. The sheer amount of worthless shite she wanted to hold on to was staggering. Old cheerleading stuff from high school and old college text books. I finally got to throw it all way.

I learned my lesson to never send my wife to the hardware store for anything, it would be like her asking me to pick up something from the craft store. Some things are better left to person who knows what they need.
