I did that for stairs off our deck. One of our dogs tore an ACL,so thought it would be easier for her to go up and down a ramp instead of steps. Put non slip padding on it and everything. Probably had $50 and 1/2 day in the making and securing, and she was scared to go near it. Tore it out after 2 days of her not using it and me carrying her up and down the steps.

I bought a blue LED collar that has 3 settings: solid, slow blink, fast blink. It works as advertised and Zeus doesn’t even notice it.
