2015 Chevy Tahoe.

Yesterday while driving the language on the dashboard all sudden turns to Spanish.
The temp reading turns to C from F
Speedometer jacks up to 95mph with 1500 rpm showing.
I was going maybe 60.

I tried resetting wont work.
I tried taking battery cable off, didn't work.

It won't let me go to the settings screen when I press home bottob or any button for that matter.

Weird shite.

Any explanations or suggestions.
Like it's been hacked.

Your gage cluster may have gone bad. You can take it out a send it off for refurb for $120.

ETA: $149 now.

It’s most likely the cluster. Under 36k miles it should be covered under warranty, if over you are looking at a couple hundred with labor.

You’ve obviously been hacked, your home bottob at least.

Here’s the deal. It’s $149 now.
And their website says
quote:

IMPORTANT: If your display reads "odometer error" or is scrolling through the languages, please call before sending in for repair. These issues are repairable but are not part of our standard rebuild.

I used them and and they did a quick, great job. And also have a fantastic step by step video to get it out and put it back in.

After reading your post, I think I found the solution. It’s a Chevy... should be able to fix it by buying a Ford

I've figured it out. Speak loud and clear, and say "No mas" towards the dashboard.

Today's vehicles do a bunch of really strange stuff when the battery dies. I would get someone to check the battery out....today.

Sounds like it was hacked by your internet enabled smart refrigerator. Turn off the toaster’s WiFi connection then reset.

Seriously, don’t know.
