It should be up to the teacher.
So if a teacher want to count of 50 pts for a misspelled word, you think it should be left up to the teacher? 20 pts? 30 pts?

Yes. I'm sure. Just like I am sure that you are stupid. Are you saying smart people don't make mistakes?

Yep, that's definitely exactly what I'm saying. 100%. Couldn't have summed it up better.

Not sure why you are laughing unless you are laughing at your ignorance. Are you saying I should have stayed in teaching and passed on an opportunity to make a lot of money? Or are you saying I'm lying?

Your incredibly horrid sentence structure leads one to believe that you made a lot of money and retired young as a teacher. Further, the notion that you hold a degree in and taught English yet make some of the "auto correct" mistakes you have in this thread lets me know you are 100% full of shite.

no, that is not the case. You simply can't understand this.

But you see it as "unfair". Intelligence is inherently unfair. Some kids are smarter than others. Some are born that way, others learn.
My son has been the smartest kid in his class every single year. Thus far he has already separated himself as the smartest in his math and English classes. All of that is per his teachers and classmates. One example is that his math teacher said that he is the only student in the last 4 years that answered a complicated math problem correctly that she gives on the first day each year. Those are her words, not mine.

You should edit again for the improper apostrophe use.

Sentence structure is perfect. You are welcome to come hang out with me if you want proof that I'm retired in my 30's.

Would you like for me to post my degree? Typing on a message board is not indication of anything. As I've already stated, this is informal and thus the rules really don't matter. You need to learn the difference between formal and informal communication. I'm certain that is over your head, though.

From OP:

From page 10:

Anyone who isn't on my side is dumb.

This begs the question...are you a woman?

You missed an apostrophe, and I'll decide on the internet usage part.

People need to learn how to spell. When I taught college classes, I was appalled at how poorly some of the students spelled.

To the average person, sure. But to someone that supposedly majored in and taught? Calling bullshite.

So over my head. Please explain it to me.

I'll say what I said before, a 7th grader should be able to spell correctly, I don't blame the teacher for counting off points. It might be severe, but a 7th grader should be able to spell correctly.
