My Conservative brethren are going to hate me for this but——Green space. St George should propose a tax ( with voters approval of course) to buy buy buy green space. Build parks and trails instead of apartments and retail . Amenities galore.People are attracted to this and move in. AN oasis of prosperity.Property values soar as inventory stays level.

My newest hobby is going to WBRZ and WAFB Facebook pages and reading the salty tears of Baton Rouge residents crying racism at St. George residents.

I used to live in Madison. Mayor Mary is legit. Nothing happened unless she said so and I was alright with that.
IWHI and hold her hand. But has she really been the mayor since 1980-fricking-1?

Current Madison County resident. Live in the suburbs of Madison the City. Mayor Mary has run a tight ship and seems to keep all of the residents happy. I don't like the fact that everything does sorta look alike, but property values seem to always go up and crime is way down. Great public school system. Mayor Mary would definitely be a good source for advice.

The Advocate, BRProud, and Baton Rouge Business Report comments are pretty salty too

Is the new Mayor actually doing anything about it or not?
Honestly, seems like a good person but "planning" just doesn't seem to be a strong suit by anyone.
And honestly, it may be too late to fix it.
