My grandmother died

So my grandmother passed last night. We were all very close with her. It wasn’t corona, but was corona related. She had been on record of how depressed and couped up they felt Bc they had to isolate and couldn’t see any of us. That def didn’t help her. we couldn’t be with her in the hospital which hurt all of us. She was ready to go and was the best person I knew. Explaining it to my 3 year old daughter is what makes me cry every time just thinking about. In another life I was a drug addict and numbed myself. I most def woulda just got high immediately. Today I don’t have to do that. I can deal with emotions as they come. Having said that, it still sucks, I’m hurting but I know she’s in a better place.

So sorry. This is killing people in a whole lot of ways, and in greater numbers than the virus. She is at peace and out of this unholy mess. Stay strong.

Sorry to hear that man.
In my opinion this has to be one of the hardest things about corona. Having to stay couped up in a hospital for days, and you cant see any of your family for love or support. You are just alone in a room for what could feel like an eternity. That sounds like pure torture. Im not a medical professional at all, but I'd imagine that aspect alone is what kills a lot of people.

My condolences guy. I lost my last grandparent in January. You’re right....they are in a better place. Sounds like your Grandmother knew how loved and special she was to the family....that’s the way we all want to feel when the time comes.

How old was she..?
Katrina did the same to my grandmother... She was a feisty 89 y/o who lived on her own and was still driving. Her house flooded and was forced to live with my aunt after being in Houston for three weeks during and after the storm. Her house had about 8", just enough to frick things up. With all the stress from her house being redone and living in different places, the stress basically did her in.
She finally got back in her house and passed away peacefully in it. It was the house my grandfather built for her.

I fear the day I have to experience this, especially breaking it to the kids. I haven’t really lost any older relatives yet somehow, but I’m worried it’ll start happening back to back.
Prayers for you & your family. She sounds like a wonderful and selfless person. I’m sure your grandmother is very proud of you for staying strong in this.
