The sleep paralysis demon is a totally fabricated myth and anyone who believes they experienced this is just highly suggestible

Depends what you mean by a demon.

A "real" demon is a myth. But a "dreamed" demon is definitely true.

I mean it on the same way that deja Vu is not a phenomenon involving premonition, but just a glitch in the brain

He’s about to kill his wife and say it was in his sleep and doesn’t remember.

So the same glitch is recorded throughout history and across cultures and you don’t think there is something more to the glitch?

Why does there have to be more to it than the human brain is an imperfect processor?

Because the same glitch, over so long and across so many processors isn’t a glitch

Do you believe in witches baw?

Do you believe deja Vu is genuine premonition?

Do you think our loved ones who have passed actually appear by our bedsides in the middle of the night?

These things are as old as humans have been around, they are expressions of an imperfect brain

Lol at you two

Maybe change the word glitch to dream and see if you still have differing opinions.

There are other worlds than these. This is but a single plane of existence.

This is the visible spectrum

This is the audible spectrum

What we can normally perceive is only a fraction of what exists.

There are things beyond the beyond. Existences outside of our ken.

Do these demons from another dimension bring their weight with them when they cross over into our frequency to take a squat on our chests in the middle of the night?

But I do agree there is much to be discovered beyond our conciousness... but a sentient demon being is not part of that

No, that's what I'd call a design flaw. It might be a bug you cannot kill because it's connected to some vital feature. A smart design would support the feature without shitty side effects.

You attach the word demon as a pejorative to discredit the theory. Man has long connected the unknown to an ethereal embodiment. We try to make sense of the unknowable by connecting it to something we can understand.
Just because the reality doesn’t align with the fantasy doesn’t mean it is wholly untrue

Sleep paralysis is definitely real. It hasn't happened to me in a long time but I went through a time where it seemed to happen often. It is weird and hard to describe. You are dreaming and you swear you are awake but you are not. In my dream I wake up from sleeping and I try to move but I can't. I have never tried to scream but I fight and fight to move but my body just won't respond. You only realize that it is a dream when you actually do wake up and it scares the hell out of you.
