The problem is men like to do this and when we egg on a group of guys it might turn into a fight but the next day you shake hands and its all good.

When you piss off women they just store that shite up like a animal preparing for winter and 4 years from now something will happen to you and you'll get fired and on the way out the door you'll hear your female co-workers say under their breathe "that stuff never happens right?!"

If you want to really get them going stay totally calm and only point out objective facts. Things posted above like "better than a messy divorce in 5 years" and "now they can both begin to heal from a bad relationship." Irrational minds hate nothing more than a rational mind reminding them of their stupidity.

Couple of things:
1. I just find it hard to believe it actually happened that exact way.
2. If it happened like that, that's a pretty messed up thing to do.

Not if her daddy paid for the wedding.

That's the point -- even if her parents were paying for it, it's the ultimate a-hole move to get all the way to the ceremony and then put the kibosh on it. Most fathers-of-the-bride would go apeshite, and I doubt some guy would have the stones just to pull something like that.

Well if she cheated, she absolutely deserved to be humiliated like that. Only if she cheated though or was marrying him for money.

Some of you are as bad as the people OP works with in terms of mob mentality and the snowball effect -- why is everyone just assuming the girl cheated? Some guys are just a-holes, we all know a few or are friends with one.

One of my sister's friends had something similar happen to her. Guy didn't leave her at the alter, but he canceled the ceremony the night before, right before the rehearsal dinner, and just left town without having the stones to tell her to her face (he texted her). Everything had been paid for and family had flown in. Even his family knew it was an a-hole move.

bullshite. If she cheated after they go engaged she deserves to be shamed in front of all her friends and family. Otherwise she will just lie to mommy, daddy, and the rest to make it out like the guy was just a dick who left her for no reason.

His point was that he is punishing both her and his family by doing this. The family did nothing wrong, and you are wasting their time and money, especially if they travelled to come to his wedding. It's just a shitty move. I guess it's better than marrying someone you don't want to though.

What will they say when the truth surfaces about her fricking the best man or some other bs that NO DOUBT happened. He had a reason and he punished her for it, like an Alpha boss!

We don't know the whole story, so saying it's a shitty move is a bit premature.

I told them there is always a different side to any story and that maybe he had good reason - like maybe he found out she cheated and used it as revenge. Apparantly women don't like to be told those kind of things and went on another rant...

I know they can't be reasoned with, but what are some good reasons I can give?

Don't even try, man.

The payroll office next to us has 28 people that work there. And 27 of them are females. They asked us to help them last week to bring/move some copiers from the loading dock up into their office, and they told me that they only have one guy who works there and he was out that day. I was like "Yeah, all that equality crap and what do ya'll do when you need something heavy lifted..?" They laughed (thankfully), and then I asked them if their one guy was just miserable all the time.

I couldn't imagine working in that kind of environment. Jesus..

Yeah what if he found out right before the wedding she cheated on him with his best friend or something like that?

We laugh when a woman finds out her man cheated and sells all his stuff in a garage sale or something like that. But the guy looks like a a-hole if he does something on the same level?

I couldn't fairly judge the guy's actions until I knew the motive.
