This is the type of action that really might get an officers attention though. Not smart

Or do like my grandfather, just throw them off the river bridge...

My grandfather would go to jail if animal cruelty was a thing more than 5 or 10 years ago. Killed cats (he'll still give a few a scare at the dumpsters with his .22 LR sometimes), my mother and aunt had a calf one time that turned into supper, never called the vet to put one of his horses down. He'd dig a hole with his back hoe and handle his own business.

Where I live, the shelter has a 24 hour line to call to drop off pets, strays, or whatever.

You're right. I probably should just stay the hell away from this whole situation. Some of these PETA freaks irk the shite out of me though.

Your grandfather is either back as a cat being abused or rotting in hell.

Is this CAAWS?

One of my friends used to work with a woman who was one of the lead volunteers at their shelter. He saw her shopping for surveillance cameras one day, asked her what it was for, and she told him she was buying a camera to put in the front door of the CAAWS shelter and catch and prosecute people who left animals at the door.

if I were him I'd ignore her. If he hadn't taken the cat in or if he'd put it back outside where it came from he would have just called animal control and they wouldn't taken it to the shelter anyway. Any officer would see that he gave it a shot trying to be a good citizen and forget about it. Think about the real scum they usually deal with. Think they're gonna waste time with the slightly misguided actions of a Good Samaritan ?

No he's probably riding his land and on his 3rd styrofoam cup of Old Charter and water.

I don't condone what the man did, but let the Lord judge him before you do.
