It’s about 65 degrees at night and no bugs, so we just leave doors open. It’s not usually a problem except for the occasional bat…

You can get rid of the smell.

Sort of.

But you’re going to smell it every time your dog gets wet for the next year.

Used Tecnu poison ivy wash on my dog and it worked really well. Skunk spray is oily similar to urushiol that is in poison oak/ivy.

This is the real answer. The tomato juice thing is BS.

Sounds like a lab!

Stinky things
Funky water

Labs seem keen on these things.

Got skunk shampoo from petsmart.

It helps but only time takes it all away

Voted for your dog

Looks like some Jack?

They get into everything, shed hair, and have more juice than an Energizer Bunny.

Prayers sent!

Tractor Supply makes a good skunk spray odor remover for pets. The new location in Central has a big pet wash station too

Could be dogs, my Aussie will whack a skunk and getting sprayed does nothing but piss her off (resulting in a faster death for the skunk).

This mixture has been a godsend. I couldn’t keep my lab away from skunks. Tried everything. I’d tomato bath him and swim in the pool for two hours and he still would stink. The above mixture was life changing.

Far away skunk is one of my favorite nostalgic smells

Skunk up close and personal is brutal

I am at the family farm in Texas. I let my Aussie out before heading back to Louisiana. Skunk in the backyard. Skunk gets decimated, but dog and I both get sprayed. Everyone is sleeping, and my parents have no tomato products. So, dog and I go to the horse wash and take about four baths. We still stink. It is cold as hell and I drive home in pajama pants and a tshirt. The clothes got tossed

On the way home, I get stopped on I 20. Cop takes a big whiff at the window and asks if any weed in the car. I laughed and said the smell is the real thing. Got a warning.

Used the magic mixture, with a good bit of Dr. Bronner’s lavender soap mixed in, and it’s so much better. It’s in the walls, though, and I guess nothing but time will cure that. Have burned so much incense I’m starting to feel the need to dred lock my hair and get a nose ring.

He’s a re-rescued rescue. Definitely got some Jack Russell in him, with the fuzzy face. The only thing he’s interested in (besides skunks) is rocks, though. The weirdest dog ever. He doesn’t bat an eye at any other critters. A squirrel could run right across his nose and he couldn’t care less. Won’t look at a stick. He lives for someone to throw him a rock. Like a 5 lb rock. Then he carries it around like his favorite toy. I don’t know how he still has teeth.
